All the food that came from the kitchen was very well presented, tasty and generous in portion size. It was reasonably priced, locally sourced and you could tell it was all fresh! Basically delicious!
The menu was so varied offering dishes from around the world you wouldn't need to decide to go italian, chinese etc as this restaurant offers enough choice to please everyone. I will be going back with the children as i was also impressed by the childrens menu on offer, perfect for a family evening.
The staff were friendly and welcoming and attentive to us even as the restaurant filled. They were sure to check if we needed anything else and offer more bread and drinks for the table and there was certainly no hurry to leave once we had our coffees in front of us which gave a relaxed and comforatble feel to the whole experience.
There is a seating area to wait in if your table is not quite ready on arrival which is a pleasant space (although our table was ready as we arrived). The waitresses were all smartly turned out, the tables laid nicely with fresh flowers on each one. The toilets were also clean and fresh.
For a meal out in Thanet I would definitely recommend Phileas Fogg and this is now our 'go to' place when we visit Broadstairs. For starters i can highly recommend the Thai fishcakes and the Band Bang chicken and my grandad thoroughly enjoyed the Moules Marinier with fresh bread to mop up the sauce. For the mains my brother enjoyed the full rack of barbequed ribs which was mouthwatering (even to those waiting for their meals at other tables who couldn't take their eyes off it as it passed!!), the Hudson bay lamb was beautifully cooked and lasted no time at all on my husbands plate despite the size! For myself the Chicken Milano served on a bed of rustic mash with fresh vegetables on the side left me satisfied and smiling, ready for some sorbet for afters! Highly recommened and now a firm favourite.
