My Family have eaten here before and really raved about the food and service. However, On a recent trip we ended up walking out due to the disgusting service we received. On arrival the restaurant was dark and dismal, after calling for service for about 10 minutes a lady came over and said we needed to decide what menu we wanted to eat. On deciding that we wanted to sit in the conservatory as this was the only area that looked inviting we were told that was impossible as it was set up for breakfast. There was no one else in there and it was 1pm. She showed us to a dingy area that we could use and finally put some lights on. The restaurant looked dirty and we felt very uncomfortable so left. I would never return to this place.

We have been eating at the Fishermans Arms many years now and have always had lovely food and plenty of it! The setting is quite unique due to the age of the building which all adds to the character. The staff are very helpful and friendly. There is a good selection of dishes to suit all tastes and pockets. Some dishes even come with a choice of portion size - in particular the cod and chips - the large portion is quite a sight when it appears at your table and always gets the attention of other diners! We shall definately be returning.
We have used this restaurant quite a few times..and found the food to be excellent..there is always a good choice of meals to be had..and the sweets are to die for..all the food was very well presented served by very friendly staff..it is a very old restaurant with oak beams and lots of charactor..very cosy..in the winter there is a large log fire which is very inviting..i would use this restaurant again and again..
