Ignore the slightly threadbare decor, this pub is about good, interesting beer and food. My wife and myself have eaten at the Swan twice. The menu is slightly limited, but has something for everyone, and there are usually more options on the specials board. Many of the dishes are slightly more elaborate than usual pub grub but are not overpriced for the quality. We found the food to be of excellent quality and the landlord can say where the ingredients are sourced. The chips are superb, always a good sign.
The landlord is particularly keen to present excellent real ales and ciders which change regularly and he really knows his business. Ask his advice and he will give you tasters. Hard to find but worth the effort. Ample parking.
