Been here twice with work, and both times the food and service were excellent. The sharing nachos that used to be on the menu satisifed four people, and the "light bite" meals are enough for an average person! Tasty food and pleasant service.

We both had the sirloin steak with fried garlic mushrooms, red onions and a stilton glaze. The steak was absolutely delicious (very fatty), but unfortunately the garlic butter from the mushrooms had flooded the plate, and turned the chips soggy. The peas were bland and had no taste at all.
Wide range, two for one deal on all main meals so good value. Mostly traditional pub fayre.
Despite it being empty (on a Saturday lunchtime no less), we were told there would be a five minute wait to take the food order (despite staff wandering around doing nothing). We had to wait 40 minutes for our food, longer than we've had to wait anywhere else, afterwards we were told a fan in the kitchen had blown our meal ticket away. Very disappointing.
Facilities here are generally good, the seating area is pleasant and the food portion of the pub is in a separate part of the building completely to the pub area.
Our visit was pretty poor, the steak was nice when we eventually got it but we had to wait far too long and were not told until after what had happened. I know how good the food can be here so this was a very disappointing visit. Hopefully next time will be better if I can persuade the girlfriend to go again!
