I have visited this restaurant before and always think the starters are much better than the main courses. My most recent visit was 18/06/10 for my best friends birthday and it was awful. We had a table for 21 booked, we sat down, were given menus but when the waiter arrived to take our order he said the kitchen would prepare starters of their choice. When we told him we would like to choose our own food he refused. One lady on our table doesnt like chinese food so just wanted to order fried rice, the waiter told her she would have to move to the end of the table (the opposite side of a very long table) as she wasnt eating the same as everyone else, this meant she couldnt sit next to her husband. Unfortunately we were being treated so badly we left and went elsewhere. The waiters were extremely rude, even small things werent attended to - I ordered a bottle of wine then had to go to the bar and wait 10 minutes for wine glasses. Not impressed!

I love Chinese food and have been to many restaurants, this restaurant in particular is my absolute favourite. The food is always fresh and tastes amazing! Whenever I have people to visit I always take them their and their opinion's have always been the same as mine, that there just isn't another with food as good!
It is a Cantonese Chinese restaurant (in my opinion the tastiest!) with a very big menu for Friday and Saturday, and a very large buffet menu for other days (where you order whatever and as much as you want off the menu, not a help yourself buffet, which is great because the food is always fresh and hot). The best bits are the sharing starter (spring rolls especially), chicken maccau (curry), and the Kung Po chicken has the tenderest melt in the mouth chicken.
They are very attentive, and have always done what they can to fit us in, even when we haven't booked.
For quite a small restaurant they have nice toilets, and a separate porch to wait if you have got takeaway.
Dragon Paradise is not only my favourite Chinese, but my favourite restaurant. I've been countless times and have never been disappointed, it is worth baring in mind that it is a small restaurant and may not be suitable for very very large groups, but it's perfect for a meal with the girls or a date :)
Have visited three times during the past year. Food always excellent. Particularly enjoyed crackers with sweet chilli sauce.Duck was tender and delicious too, as were many other dishes we tried.Although the policy semed to be 'all in' menu, we were able to select our own individual dishes rather than the incluseve menu without a problem. choices from the
Everything I could have possibly wanted was there, and more, new dishes to try, eg with sweet chilli sauce which was a new item to me.
Someone was available whenever we needed eg fresh drinks, or had a question. Always polite and friendly
Confortable, tables not too closely packed, cloakroom facilities clean and pleasant to enter.
Will visit whenever we are in the area. Could not fault it. Welcome always with a smile. On one occasion when we had not booked, they apologised profusely. There is a very pleasant waiting area, with plants and seating. Did not have to wait long before a table was found for us.
