Having dined at the restaurant a number of times during the week when it's a quiet experience with personal, attentive service I made the mistake of frequenting the restaurant on a weekend. This got off to a bad start with a £1 surcharge per head simply for it being the weekend even though the "east as much as you like" menu is without dessert. Dessert is included during the week even though you pay less. Just smacked of cheapness and a money-grabbing attitude with less for your money and then what was pleasant and attentive service during the week became rude and rushed with staff either clearing your plates the second you put your chopstick down or forgetting entirely about you between courses. They even had the cheek to move a group to a smaller table half way through their meal so they could accommodate another larger group into what is already a cramp, claustrophobic space when full.
