The Poppadoms were hot out of the oven and the lime pickle had proper bite. Mixed grill starter exceeded expectations with nothing too oily of fatty and yet not dry. Onion Bhaji's were crisp and bursting of flavour, not soggy and neither did it taste like dried twigs rolled in a ball. Recommended Jhal Lamb was nice and spicy and the dish we've never tried before, Murghi Masala (chicken cooked in lamb mince with egg) was lovely. The Adha Diya was creamy and not watery. Murgh Malai got brought as taster (chicken grilled with garlic, ghee and mint) and would seriously recommend to diners who like Indian without having to sacrifice their tastebuds to the fiery spice gods. Saag Aloo (potato & spinach) was melt in your mouth lovely. Loved the Aubergine dish too but some diners might find it a little fatty. I loved it. Sweet pumpkin dish, Misti Lao Bhaji, was a perfect condement. Sweet, not too sloppy but just the right texture.

Menu Choice

The Menu is comprehensive and people new to Indian dishes, will understand what they are getting! Look out for the 'Streetwise' dish 'tampered with garlic'! You will be spoilt for choice. They even dished up a dish that wasn't on the menu... Just to let us taste it! No charge!

Service

Service is unlike anything I've ever come across. Maybe I've always been lucky with the service and part of the reason is Aslam, the waiter. When we take friends to the Coriander and they are indecisive as to what they want, I always have two words for them: Aslam knows. He recommended the Lamb Jhal in place of the Jalfrezi. We loved it! Again, he only recommends dishes once he sussed out what type of curry you like. You will never be disappointed. Outstanding. Compliments to the Chef and Waiters!

Facilities

The Restaurant isn't too big nor too small. There is a lovely buzz about the place. The toilets are always clean. Even when you come to pick up a Take away, you are welcomed in, sat down with a drink plopped before you. There you can view the rest of the Restaurant tucking into the delicious food. Great ambience and very clean without losing the cosiness.

Love it. Always a treat. Great Restaurant, with great choice and the friendliest waiters. Waiters like Aslam, makes going out a wonderful and memorable experience. I'm sure not everyone will have the same experience as me, but trust me, the overall rating should never dip below Excellent!
